Cooking Workshops with Theresa Lin

The Chinese Club of San Marino will be partnering once again with Crowell Library this Fall when they present a series of cooking classes featuring the multi-award winning Theresa Lin. Three Wednesdays, once a month: September 23, October 28 and November 18 from 11:00 am to 12 noon, you will learn how to cook two dishes per session, including Ma Po’s Bean Curd, Scrambled Eggs with Shrimp, Shepherd’s Purse Tofu Fish Potage, Cantonese Style Blenched Beef and Shrimp with Walnut Sauce in a Pineapple Boat. Are your taste buds titillated yet? These classes will be presented on the Zoom platform. If you have never used this platform, the app is free to download.
Theresa Lin is founding Chairman of the Chinese Restaurant Foundation and Vice President of the Los Angeles Chefs Association. She is currently the host of KAZN 1300 and AM 1600 "Today's Menu," "Guess Who is Coming for Dinner" and "Eat Drink Men Women." She has been a catering director for many hotel groups and feature films. Director Ang Lee called her “China’s Julia Child.” She has published 28 cookbooks.
Founded in 1979, the Chinese Club of San Marino is a social and service club that serves the entire community, promoting communication, understanding, respect and appreciation among all ethnic groups in San Marino. Due to their generous support, Crowell Library has an outstanding Chinese language collection that is highly circulated. The Club operates as a civic league to promote and support Chinese culture, arts, and education, and has sponsored the San Marino Chinese School since its inception.
